APPLE GRATIN

Butter an ovenproof dish. Peel and grate the apples. Immediately pour lemon juice over the apples to prevent them from turning brown. Lay the apples in the gratin dish. Combine the following ingredients: sugar, bread crumbs, almonds and cinnamon. Spread over the apples. Dot with the butter cut into small pieces and bake for 10 minutes, placing the dish at medium height. Take out of the oven when a golden crust has formed on the surface. Serve warm.
